There is a little-known Philippine connection to the recently concluded World Cup 2006. The link is Derek Wanner, a half-Filipino, half-Swiss (Derek was delivered 29 years ago by Dr. C.P. Manahan at the Makati Medical Center), who is now based in Lucerne, Switzerland, where he founded his company, Fanatico Figurines AG.

Fanatico holds exclusive rights to the images (sculpted figurines) of the 2006 World Cup champs, the Azzurris as well as to Brazil’s star player, Maradona, Italy’s Pierluigi Collina, and Roger Milla.
