                    [Title] => Accepting Jesus as the Messiah who had come
                    [Summary] =>

While this weekend, we celebrate the Feast of the Señor Sto. Niño de Cebu with that solemn procession yesterday and merrymaking this Sunday, however it should not distract us from our real objective of knowing more about our Lord Jesus Christ. This is why we Catholics are exhorted to read and study the Holy Bible, as ignorance of the Bible is ignorance of our Lord Jesus Christ. Today's Sunday Gospel comes from the Evangelist St. Luke, entitled "The Prologue" which you can read in Luke 1:1-4, 4:14-21.

[Summary] => This Sunday's Gospel reading is about the Rejection at Nazareth of Jesus, you'll find in Mark 6:1-6. [Jesus] departed from there and came to his native place, accompanied by his disciples. 2When the Sabbath came he began to teach in the synagogue, and many who heard him were astonished. They said, "where did this man get all this? What kind of wisdom has been given him? What might deeds are wrought by his hands! 3 Is he not the carpenter, the son of Mary, and the brother of James and Joses and Judas and Simon? And are not his sisters here with him?" And they took offense at him. [DatePublished] => 2006-07-09 00:00:00 [ColumnID] => 135522 [Focus] => 0 [AuthorID] => 1805274 [AuthorName] => Bobit S.
