[Title] => State insurance fund premiums for private sector up by 0.2%
[Summary] => The Employees Compensation Commission recently raised the State Insurance Fund premiums to a maximum of 0.2 percent for each worker in private firms receiving not less than P15,000 monthly salary.
However, for employees receiving less than P15,000 SIF contributions will remain at P10 per month. SIF supports the Employees Compensation Program implemented by ECC that provides a package of benefits for public and private sector employees and their dependents in the event of work-connected contingencies such as sickness, injury, disability or death.

[Title] => Firms get orientation on non-wage benefits
[Summary] => The Employees Compensation Commission provided an orientation on the Employees Compensation Program to the various companies yesterday held at the Grand Majestic Convention Center.
Atty. Joy Tan, officer-in-charge for the ECP lecture, said that the activity serves as an orientation of the ECP for both the workers and managements of companies. She said that although the ECP has existed for years, few of the workers know about non-wage benefits because employers themselves are not aware of the program.

[Title] => Govt owes us P52-B, says GSIS head
[Summary] => The Government Service Insurance System (GSIS) said it has "discovered" some P52-billion worth of receivables from the National Government.
Government employees and pensioners have been in an uproar for the past few months because of delays in the payment of their monthly pension and the suspension of new salary loans that the GSIS earlier said was due to "glitches" in ITS computerization program.
