The deadline for the filing of applications for the 2007 GSIS Scholarship Program had been moved until today, May 7, the GSIS said citing numerous requests from its members. 


An applicant for the scholarship must be legitimate children of active GSIS members and must have a general weighted average of 85 percent, or its equivalent, in his or her grades in high school.


The GSIS said that each region has been allocated with slots, the number of which is based on the configuration of GSIS membership in a particular area.
