[Title] => Crack Mapua guard banned for the season
[Summary] => The NCAA management committee yesterday cracked the whip on Mapuas Jeff Martin who was banned for the rest of the season after he continued to display unsportsmanlike conduct despite a previous warning from the leagues disciplinary body.
Martin, a cocky, trash-talking point guard, once again drew the ire of league officials for trying to instigate a fight with St. Benilde players in the dying seconds of their game last Monday at the Rizal Memorial Coliseum.

[Title] => NCAA asks teams to sanction coaches
[Summary] => The NCAA Management Committee (Mancom) yesterday spared St. Benilde and Mapua any suspension but issued a stern warning while directing both teams to discipline their respective coaches in the aftermath of their controversial match ending in a forfeiture victory for the Blazers Monday.
"The committee issued stern warning on all parties involved. But with regards to sanctioning the coaches of both teams, that would be up to their school heads," said Mancom chairman Fr. Bede Hechanova, O.S.B., of San Beda.
