In a report to QCPD director Chief Superintendent Nicasio Radovan Jr., Superintendent Roger James Brillantes, District Intelligence and Investigation chief, identified the suspects as Noel Tapang, Raul Guevarra, Manolito de la Cruz and Eduardo de la Cruz. They were arrested on board their get-away vehicle, a blue Toyota Lite Ace with plate number PTU 460.

Police Officer 2 Ehron Balawat, case investigator, said the victim was between 25 to 27 years old, with curly, shoulder length hair, about 52 in height and with fair complexion. The box was dumped near a mosque on Mindanao Avenue in Maharlika Village.
Her body is now being examined at the Philippine National Police Crime Laboratory.
