The Armed Forces of the Philippines yesterday downplays speculations of a possible civil unrest that is backed by the military amidst issues surrounding the giving out of cash to local government offical by Malacañang.

AFP spokesperson Lt. Col. Bartolome Bacarro said in an interview that while the admission of Pampanga Gov. Ed Panlilio and Bulacan Gov. Joselito Mendoza may be the subject of discussions among the military circles, it would not affect their morale.
