[Title] => Letter to the Editor Hidden voices in Barili
[Summary] => This is a reaction to the column of Orlando P. Carvajal (July 12, 2006) aptly titled: "For the Love of Barili". I freely agree with "Noy" Lando's proposition that we should give Mayor Chuckbong Nemeño of Barili, Cebu a benefit of the doubt relative to his sincerity in switching political camps from a notorious centurion of the Roman emperor to a Pauline conversion, "Saul, Saul, why hath thou persecuteth me?"

[Title] => May the spork be with you
[Summary] => Ive got the solution, I think, to the whole Canadian controversy over the spoon.
Stick a spork in it. A spork, you say? Yes. Im convinced that this little plastic utensil is the thing that will heal international wounds and bring the Philippines and Canada back together from their recent estrangement.
You know the incident. Last May, a Montreal private school principal apparently traumatized a Filipino student by insisting that the boy use his fork instead of the spoon beloved by Filipinos to eat in the schools cafeteria.
