It was not difficult to think of a topic for my column this week as I’m sure many others were likewise moved to write about the recent loss of one of the greatest leaders of our time, South Africa’s first black president Nelson Mandela, affectionately called ‘Madiba’ (his Xhosa clan name) by his countrymen and by his many friends and admirers all over the world.

MANILA, Philippines - Singer-composer David D’Or will be the last person to tell you he holds not one, but three titles in his native Israel. They are Israel’s Most-Acclaimed Modern Singer, Singer of the Year and Best Vocal Performer.

I welcome with enthusiasm the emergence of a gay partylist. The time is ripe for it, I believe. To be particular, the time is ripe for the creation of a genuine group that truly and fearlessly represents the aspirations of the gay community. For this, I wish to study in depth any gay partylist's composition and it ideology.
