The last Lenten season provided a grand opportunity to re-visit churches that were momentarily shelved in the consciousness of the mind. Literally taking the tradition to task, I found myself trekking to Bacolor in Pampanga to visit the fabled San Guillermo Parish Church. It will be recalled that from 1991 to 1995, the church caught the imagination of almost everyone when lahar flow from Mt. Pinatubo devastated and buried the church some 20 staggering feet deep.
