Dismissed Pasay City Mayor Wenceslao "Peewee" Trinidad questioned yesterday the awarding of a P600-million contract for the construction of a new city hall to a sole bidder by the city’s new mayor, Allan Panaligan.


Trinidad, who is running for Pasay mayor, said that on Feb. 22, the Court of Appeals (CA) issued a temporary restraining order (TRO) in favor of Vice Mayor Antonino Calixto against the implementation of the Jan. 12 decision of the Office of the Ombudsman.

Trinidad said he will be waiting for a response from the DILG and that he also plans to talk to Mayor Allan Panaligan.

"If the DILG will not act on my appeal, then what will happen next will be up to the people of Pasay City. I don’t have control of things," he said.
