[Title] => Chasing Caravaggio
[Summary] => Like many subjects I am fixated on, I learned about Caravaggio from a movie. In the early 90s I frequented a video store in the basement of Makati Cinema Square called Video Take-Out. They had an impressive collection of classic and art movies on laser disc (Remember when we thought the laser disc was "It"? A year or so later it had gone the way of Atari). One day I rented Caravaggio directed by Derek Jarman. All I knew of Caravaggio was that he was an Italian painter, and all I knew of Jarman was that he was gay and British.
