[Title] => Funny faces
[Summary] => Whoever coined "funny books" as slang for comics obviously hasnt read Daniel Clowes. Not that his work is devoid of puerile pleasures (theres a bit of rude language here and there and some graphic depiction of genitalia) its just that his characters, although occupying the same high-rent ghetto, dont blend in too easily in a crowd composed of superheroes and villains. None of them are particularly striking in appearance. No snappy one-liners or witty comebacks either.
