[Title] => Southcom: No troop movement in Mindanao
[Summary] => ZAMBOANGA CITY — The chief of the Armed Forces’ Southern Command (Southcom) denied yesterday any troop movement in the South, contrary to misinformation that groups of soldiers were planning to withdraw support for the Arroyo administration.

"There are no movements of forces here. All military units in Mindanao are simply continuing their current missions," said Lt. Gen. Gregorio Camiling, Southcom chief.

Southcom is the biggest military command outside of Metro Manila, with an estimated strength of 70,000 soldiers.
