[Summary] => CAGAYAN DE ORO CITY — All she had was urinary tract infection, not SARS.

Health officers pronounced "CO," a woman from Kitaotao, Bukidnon, clear of the coronavirus that causes Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome.

Doctors at the Northern Mindanao Medical Center (NMMC) personally accompanied CO home to Kitaotao yesterday.

NMMC SARS committee chairman Dr. Arthur Tan said CO was only suffering from UTI, which, along with a change of climate, caused her fever.

Tan personally attended to CO and closely monitored her medical examination.

If Interior and Local Government Secretary Jose Lina would have his way, a designated safe zone in every barangay might be the only way to drastically cut down firecracker-related casualties and injuries occurring every year.

Lina proposed that all local government units should pass an ordinance designating an area for pyrotechnic aficionados to show off their fireworks out of harm’s way.
