The property, owned by the late Federico Suntay and his late wife Cristina Suntay, a daughter of Aguinaldo, was expropriated by the government under Republic Act 6657 or the Comprehensive  Agrarian Reform Program (CARP).

                    [Summary] => An official of the LandBank of the Philippines (LBP) was arrested yesterday on orders of the Special Agrarian Court (SAC) over her failure to deposit some P73.5 million in government compensation to a private land owner.


Teresita Tengco, chief of the LBP Landowners’ Compensation Department,  was arrested at her house in Parañaque City at around 7:30 a.m. yesterday by elements of the WPD-Warrant Section. She was initially "detained" at the office of the WPD-Tactical Operations Center (TOC).
