Thanksgiving Day came and went, and for us Filipinos it’s no big deal. It’s not celebrated here the way it is celebrated in the US. It is a big week there, where family members take time off to visit relatives around the country to have Thanksgiving dinner, which is on the last Thursday of November. Except for the American expatriates here, Filipinos don’t celebrate it. Besides, I dare ask, what’s there to be thankful for? What happened worldwide in the past two years is enough to make us think that the Rapture is near.
