The continuing dry spell is taking a toll on Zamboanga City's agriculture sector, damaging an estimated P91.97 million worth of crops and fishponds as of this week, according to officials.

At least 800 families or about 3,500 residents were also forced to evacuate when the torrents submerged at least 10 barangays, according to City Mayor Celso Lobregat.
