The Friends for Cultural Concerns of the Philippines (FCCP) celebrated its 23rd anniversary with a fund-raising dinner-dance at the Shangri-La Hotel with the theme "In Celebration of Friendship." The men wore in black ties while the ladies wore orange or gold gowns reflecting the nights happy mood.

Attuned to the sweeping effects of global events, the FCCP has very wisely, and may I say, quite commendably, rethought its annual ball, previously entitled "Two Thousand and One Nights" and held it in a tasteful, but nonetheless delightful fashion.
