Police reports said the victim was in the front passenger seat of the jeepney driven by Emilio Villamor when the incident happened at about 1:35 p.m. at the railroad crossing along Rizal Avenue near the Blumentritt market.


According to reports, the jeepney with plate number TVL-788 was about to cross the railroad tracks when it stalled while the train was approaching.

                    [Summary] => Makati City Mayor Jejomar Binay has directed the city police to be on alert starting today until Nov. 2 as a precautionary measure against crime incidents that may arise while the people visit their departed loved ones.


Binay instructed Makati City police chief, Superintendent Jovito Gutierrez, to deploy additional mobile patrol units in residential areas which has become a popular target of robbers during this time of the year.


Binay has also directed the barangay counterparts of the police to assist in the patrol operations.

The first casualty was identified as Antonio Lao, who lost control of his Nissan car upon passing the oil slick which slammed into a tree.
