Senior Inspector Gary Jaramillo Garen, chief of the Anti-Carnapping (ANCAR) and Follow-Up Division of the Las Piñas City Police, identified the suspect as Charlie Mechure II, 28, and a resident of Pilar Village, Barangay Pilar, Las Piñas.
The operation against Mechure was conducted by a team led by Inspector Nicholas Maamo and Inspector Arnold Alabastro.
The suspect was arrested at his house at around 5 p.m. last Monday.

The suspect, Charlie Mechure II, managed to slip past his guards at the TMG’s Cavite office in Imus town at about 4 p.m. and escaped on board a car driven by a certain Christine Narcida, according to reports reaching Camp Crame.
The reports said Mechure simply walked out of his cell without handcuffs and boarded the car.
