Senior Inspector Gary Jaramillo Garen, chief of the Anti-Carnapping (ANCAR) and Follow-Up Division of the Las Piñas City Police, identified the suspect as Charlie Mechure II, 28, and a resident of Pilar Village, Barangay Pilar, Las Piñas.

The operation against Mechure was conducted by a team led by Inspector Nicholas Maamo and Inspector Arnold Alabastro.

The suspect was arrested at his house at around 5 p.m. last Monday.
