[Summary] => While we wrote a lot of positive articles about the 26th Sinulog festivities last weekend, I'm glad that there where no major untoward incidents reported that would have marred the holding of the Sinulog. But that is not to say that there were no ugly incidents that happened as the parade ended and nightfall came. I came upon one such ugly incident when I was virtually given a ringside seat to drunken hooligans that brought in a lot of policemen into the area, including Cebu's Swat officers.

Keen competition aside, they carried a common news story of the plan of the police chief to file cases against the anti-GMA protestors. The charges would arise from the ugly incident at the gates of the Malacañang sa Sugbu. It was lost to me what specific cases were being readied although what came out rather clear was that the alleged legal cause of action of the police was the reported attempt of the rallyists to get near the President's Cebu office.
