Fittingly, the Davao City-based non-government organization Mindanao News and Information Cooperative Center came out with a first volume of memoirs during that particularly dark period in Philippine history, Turning Rage Into Courage: Mindanao under martial law, a less than random sampling of testaments by both survivors and rebel-martyrs.
