[Title] => Ground squirrels
[Summary] => I was at ease, but He has shattered me. Job 16:12
Ground squirrels hibernate near our home during the winter, and they reappear when the snow melts in the spring. My wife Carolyn and I enjoy watching them scurry back and forth from one hole to another, while others stand like tiny sentries watching for predators.

[Title] => Come home!
[Summary] => Your brother was dead and is alive again, and was lost and is found. Luke 15:32
Several years ago, my wife Carolyn and I camped near the town of Brimley, in Michigans Upper Peninsula. It was a holiday, and we ambled into town for the annual parade. Believe me, it was something to write home about.

[Title] => Be careful!
[Summary] => Let him who thinks he stands take heed lest he fall. 1 Corinthians 10:12
Several years ago my wife Carolyn and I were hiking on Mount Rainier in Washington when we came to a swollen, glacial stream. Someone had flattened one side of a log and dropped it across the river to form a crude bridge, but there was no handrail and the log was slippery.
The prospect of walking on the wet log was frightening, and Carolyn didnt want to cross. But she found the courage, and slowly, carefully she inched her way to the other side.
