Nineteen police officers from the Cordillera Region were promoted to the next higher rank earlier this year.

At the same time, nine policemen were dismissed, two were demoted and another forcibly resigned and 22 others were suspended for various offenses the past year.

Chief Superintendent Crescencio Maralit, regional director of the Police Regional Office-Cordillera Administrative Region, said those promoted included seven police inspectors, eight senior inspectors and four chief inspectors.
