I still have to fully understand what the song MacArthur Park is trying to say but I am sure you will agree that it was a very big hit many years ago and is now considered a classic. Written by Jim Webb, the original version was recorded by country music star Waylon Jennings in 1968. It was only a few months later when the second one was released and it was in the debut album by the late actor Richard Harris who turned recording artist with much success.
