De La Salle University 2 and Letran College kept their quarterfinal hopes alive following a string of victories yesterday on the third day of the third Nestea Inter-collegiate Beach Volleyball tournament at the CCP grounds in Pasay City.

Bannered by the power-spiking duo of Ivy Remulla and Sheryl Magallanes, both members of the La Salle squads that won the last two UAAP volleyball stagings, nipped the University of San Carlos Cebu pair of Maricel Gitgit and Kristal Alfafara, 12-11, for their third straight win.
