[Summary] => Energy Secretary Vincent S. Perez said yesterday that some 1.3 million consumers nationwide will enjoy lower electricity rates this month after the Energy Regulatory Commission (ERC) formalizes the condonation of rural electrification loans incurred by several electric cooperatives.
The National Electrification Administration (NEA) said the ERC approved recently the granting of rate cuts for 24 electric cooperatives (ECs) as a result of savings due to the condonation of loans.
