I know, I know – nostalgia’s a cheap emotion, an easy fix for today’s disquiets and tomorrow’s uncertainties, and it’s about as close to enlightenment as a witticism is to wisdom. But what the heck, I’m sure most of you will agree that we deserve a break, any break, from the present, such as it is.
