The arrival of the first solo album of an artist is always an important event. It remains so until the public decides it is not, by staying away from the stores and then out comes a flop. It is even more important when the artist concerned is already a popular personality eager to impress the public with what he can do. Think actors turning singers or celebrities who cannot even sing, recording albums. Such is also the case with band members embarking on a solo career.
Scott and I buy a baby-name book with lots of exotic, Afro-Indian names. Having no better moniker than "It" to call the baby at this point, we’ve jokingly started referring to her/him as Rajni (an Indian girl’s name) or Okechuku (an African boy’s name). Now my sister’s afraid the names might stick.

I am sure you must have also noticed. No longer are the famous operatic singers of our times of a certain venerable age. In fact, they seem to be getting younger and younger every year and to the shock of many classical music fans, they also lack opera experience. In the old days male singers were either boy sopranos or middle-aged tenors. The young adult males were not expected to shine because that was the time they were being trained to be better singers. Nowadays though, they just pop out from everywhere.
