As long as there’s a Philippines, they will come.

Something about these exotic shores beckons them.

I’m talking about pop stars whose best days may be in the distant past, but whose love affair with Filipino audiences is always in the here and now.

To live

White lace and promises

A kiss for luck and we’re on our way

Before the rising sun

We fly

So many roads to choose

We start out walking and learn to run

And yes we’ve just begun

Sharing horizons that are new to us

Watching the signs along the way

Talking it over just the two of us

Working together day to day

Together

What is heard over the radio station can come from anywhere, from the icy allure of Scandinavia to pulsating Latin America and from anyone, from Eric Carmen of All By Myself fame from long ago to current chart heartthrob Brian McKnight. This kind of music is not the usual top 40 stuff although we do get some of these once in a while. But that is only when they come up to the Joey criteria.
