[Summary] => They were considered pillars of hope, dreams, bright futures and meaningful tomorrows. But everything changed when the 7.2-magnitude earthquake that hit the island reduced them into rubbles. From pillars the structures turned into glaring evidence of the fierce power of nature’s wrath..

[Title] => Raising the terror alert level in Cebu!
[Summary] =>
Two weekends ago, on May 6, a rather small incident could have gone unnoticed were it not for an alert hotel roomboy who questioned a group of guests as to why they were bringing out their friend wrapped in a blanket to a waiting van. Their friend turned out to be very dead and they were obviously trying to dispose of the body somewhere. Normally people would first alert the hotel that something bad had happened to their friend or even call for an ambulance. But not these people.

[Title] => Augustinian Recollects: 400 years in Cebu!
[Summary] => Today is a historic day for the Augustinian Recollects in the Philippines. For me, I know them as our fathers running the former Colegio, turned University of San Jose-Recoletos (USJR) as I am proudly an alumnus of the CSJR, where I got my Bachelor of Science in Business Administration (BSBA) way back in 1972. But 400 years ago, 13 Augustinian Recollects left Sanlucar de Barrameda in Spain and boarded the vessel Espiritu Santo in February 1606, passed by Mexico and landed in the shores of Cebu on the 12th of May 1606. Since then, those who came here never left.
