[Title] => Bulusans sulfur dioxide emission still far from an eruption
[Summary] => Mt. Bulusan in Sorsogon has been emitting 295 tons of sulfur dioxide per day, up from 161 tons previously, the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs) said yesterday.
But Phivolcs said the sulfur dioxide level one of the gauges which volcanologists use to predict an impending eruption was still "comparatively low." Emission should reach thousands of tons before the volcano erupts.
