Walsh, a 17-year-old student who competed out of the Tide Water Club in Virginia, met the Olympic B standard of two minutes 04.56 seconds in the mens 200-meter butterfly when he clocked 2:04.13 in the Charlotte Ultra-Swim Championships last June 10 to 14.
