Commander Giovanni Carlo Bacordo, Navy spokesman, said among the jailed officers is Col. Ariel Querubin, the relieved commander of the 3rd Marine Brigade based in Marawi City. 


"Col. Querubin was transferred to the Bonifacio Naval Station yesterday (Thursday) with the 11 others," he said.

The three are Associate Justices Godofredo Legaspi, Ma. Cristina Cortez-Estrada and Norberto Geraldez.


The court’s action was in response to a request, dated March 30, 2005, of the prosecution to confirm the authority of the presiding justice to appoint and designate alternate members of the special division.
