Sixteen deaths have been reported near the coastal town of Caramoan, 325 kilometers southeast of Manila, since June, officials said, while 14 other deaths have been reported on the island of Catanduanes, east of Caramoan, since August.

                    [Summary] => Reportedly depressed over his deportation from the US, a 28-year-old man hanged himself inside their Makati City home.


The body of Jerome Aricheta, of Santiago street, Barrios Poblacion, was discovered by his father, Alejandro Jacinto, at around 4:45 a.m., police records showed.


Aricheta was found with a galvanized wire around his neck. The other end of the wire was tied to the railing of the stairs.


Jacinto, 50, told police he was about to prepare breakfast when he discovered the body.
