READER REACTS. A businessman said he was upset when he read about The Ear article on Saturday about the blind man who stumbled and fell while boarding a jeepney. He said, "Naluoy ko sa buta nga nahayang. Naglagot ko sa jeepney driver. Lami kulatahon!"



SUGGESTION. He suggested that Citom should apprehend speeding jeepney drivers to avoid situations where passengers' lives would be at risk because of careless drivers. "Angay dakpon sa Citom ang mga danghag ug bastos na drayber."

In a resolution, Maambong wants the LTO as well as other deputized enforcement agencies to apprehend drivers of over loaded buses.


The National Center of Transportation Studies say that  120,000 cases out of the reported 970,000 road accidents are attributed to overloading.


Overloaded trucks also hasten the deterioration of roads. The resolution is expected to be approved in tomorrow's session.
