In response to the clamor of several runners who will be joining the Cebu Sinulog Marathon early next year, I am giving some tips on how to finish or may I say, survive the race. I ran my first marathon in 1986 when I joined the PAL Manila International Marathon. I was a little bit worried if I could finish the grueling 42-kilometer distance because I wasn't so sure if my training was enough. Since then I've chalked up about 10 marathons and counting.
