[Title] => San Beda prelate gives sport a big kick
[Summary] => The man in vestment streaked to the San Beda football field and mingled with the players during a break in a workout one would wonder what a member of the clergy has got to do with the sport in particular, and with the team in general.
But being on top of the schools football program the last four years as its facilitator, Fr. Lukas, OSB, has all the reasons to be there, giving the members of the squad and its coaching staff some spirit-boosting talk and reassuring them of the schools all-out support.

[Title] => SBC booters gain lead
[Summary] => The San Beda Red Lions football team surged to the top of the table of "Ang Liga" Wednesday after drawing with the Philippines National Under-23 squad, 0-0, at home in Mendiola. Attack football was on display as the rampaging Lions pushed the RP U-23 Nationals back time and again.
SBC coach Ryan de la Cruz could have seen his booters take the lead in the 30th minute when national defender Rolly Perez brought down Dan The Bull Padernal inside the box. Striker Vaughn Melendrez stepped up for the spot kick saved by U-23 keeper Jay Archie Marcaida.
