The Philippine Postal Corp. (PhilPost) and the Universal Postal Union (UPU) based in Berne, Switzerland recently launched the 36th International Letter Writing Competition for the youth to promote better understanding around the world through the post office. 


This year’s competition is aimed at making the public aware of the significance of the polar regions to the Earth’s climate, and ultimately the environment.

The monumental conquest of Mt. Everest by three Filipino climbers has been immortalized through new stamps of the Philippine Postal Corp. (PhilPost) that depict various scenes during the successful expedition last May.


The stamps, which showcase a panoramic view of Mt. Everest and scenes during the trek of Filipino climbers on the way to the summit, are expected to circulate on snail mail envelopes starting today.

Although parang nag-iba na siya ng repertoire, hindi na masyadong nagri-react ang audience na mabibilang mo lang sa mga kanta ng singer.
