[Title] => Beach Boys mark 40th year - SOUNDS FAMILIAR by Baby Gil
[Summary] => In 1961 brothers Brian, Carl and Dennis Wilson, their cousin Al Jardine and friend Mike Love formed a singing group. They went by various names as they did the local high school hop circuit. Sometimes they were Carl and the Passions or Kenny and the Cadets or the Pendletones. When they made their recording debut with a song called Surfin’ for a local label, they decided to put the name Beach Boys on the label. And thus was born the legendary American rock and roll band.
