[Title] => Kyla not your ordinary girl
[Summary] => The title of Kylas new album is Not Your Ordinary Girl and I agree. I must say that given her innate flair for R&B music which does not come naturally to Filipinos, she is certainly not ordinary. R&B, the dominant music in pop radio all over the world these days, is a distinctly American sound. As they say out there, you have to be born with the groove and there is something very pathetic about Pinoys who do not have the groove trying hard to sing R&B.

Come June, three of these will be given the first, second and third prizes during the finals night of the contest.

[Title] => Willie Nep 4 President
[Summary] => At a time when novelty recordings are among the most saleable albums in town, I find it strange that Willie Nepomuceno has not come up with one of his own. Writer, singer, comedian and I would much rather say actor instead of impersonator, Willie Nep is a natural for the genre. In fact, I do recall some funny moments listening to his tale of the husband who frequented a nightspot called the Golden Gagamba and his very, very close, almost uncanny imitation of famous personalities in his albums.
