Oil industry leader Petron Corp. launched yesterday a new product that would complement the implementation of the Biofuels Act starting May 6.


The new product, called XCS Complete Combustion System, is a breakthrough technology customized exclusively for Philippine driving conditions, company officials said.

Petron president Khalid Al-Faddagh said that as of now, Petron has committed selling bottled coco-biodiesel products in their gasoline stations. 

"We already made a statement  that we can offer the bottled coco-biodiesel products," he said.

It will be recalled that Petron has been one of the oil firms that have been hesitant to use coco-biodiesel in the past.
