[Title] => Japeth Aguilar gets close to NBA dream
[Summary] => After Japeth Aguilar became the first Filipino to ever get drafted in the NBA Development League, hopes were high that he’ll eventually make it to the NBA. Picked 109th overall by the Sta. Cruz Warriors, Aguilar impressed the team’s coaching staff during their practice, surviving a couple of cuts made by the squad.
The 6-foot-9 forward, however, would eventually be cut by the team at the last minute, just in time for the D-League opening. Aguilar though has signed on to become a practice player for the Warriors, and continues to hope that he’ll be able to land a roster spot.
