[Title] => Feuding Malabon mayors set aside differences; employees paychecks signed
[Summary] => Malabon city halls over 2,000 employees, feeling distressed after failing to get their salaries last June 15, heaved a collective sigh of relief after the vouchers were finally signed a week later last Monday afternoon. Thanks to a common masterful stroke from the citys two mayors that did not fail to elicit respect and gratitude from the people, observers said.

[Title] => A no-show for Vicencio
[Summary] => Suspended Malabon City Mayor Amado Vicencio, who has vowed to reassume his post, was a no-show at City Hall yesterday.
City Council Secretary Melvin Quevas, who has taken over some of the functions of City Administrator Samilo Barlongay, said that it was Barlongay himself, a lawyer, who advised Vicencio to just settle the dispute in court.
"Maybe he (Vicencio) heeded the advice of City Administrator Barlongay to straighten out the issue before a proper forum," he said.
