MANILA, Philippines — Korean top seed Yerin Lee displayed her brilliant form to beat local Stefi Marithe Aludo, 6-3, 6-1, Sunday in the girls' singles final of the Oscar J. Hilado J60 World Tennis Championship Week 2 at the Rizal Memorial Tennis Center.

The 14-year-old Lee also ruled the first leg last week.

"I am happy to win my second singles title in my first tournament in the Philippines," said Lee, who scored a 6-3, 6-0 victory over Aludo in the first round last week.

Meanwhile, Chinese No. 2 seed Jian Huang defeated Indian No. 4 seed Yashwin Dahiya, 6-3, 6-0, to pocket the boys' singles title in the event offering World Tennis (formerly International Tennis Federation) points.

In the doubles, Lee and compatriot Seojin Park downed Filipino Jana Jelena Nicole Diaz and Indonesian Assyifa Khansa Putri Raga, 6-2, 7-6 (2), to forge a title showdown with Aludo and Louraine Jallorina, 6-4, 6-3 winners over Indonesian Gwen Emily Kurniawan.

Dahiya and Huang will face second seeds Weibo Huang and Bing-Huan Tsai of Chinese Taipei in the boys' doubles final.

Now on its 18th edition, the annual tournament is renamed in honor of the late PHINMA Corp. Chairman Emeritus Oscar J. Hilado in recognition of his lifelong support for and contributions to Philippine tennis.

Past champions include Alexandra Eala, Francis Casey Alcantara, John Bryan Otico, Arthur Craig Pantino, Khim Iglupas, Tennielle Madis and Aludo. (Pool story)
