MANILA, Philippines — Hindi lamang si American import Oly Okaro ang paghahandaan ng Creamline sa pagsagupa sa Akari sa knockout championship game ng 2024 Premier Volleyball League (PVL) Reinforced Conference.

“We’re going up against the whole team. Iyon talaga ang paghahandaan namin. not just one person, not just the import, iyong buong team talaga,” ani Michele Gumabao sa pagharap nila sa Chargers.

Nakatakda ang ‘winner-take-all’ game ngayong alas-6 ng gabi matapos ang upakan ng PLDT at Cignal para sa third place sa alas-4 ng hapon sa Philsports Arena sa Pasig City.

Sina Gumabao, import Erica Staunton, Bernadeth Pons, Kyle Negrito, Pangs Panaga at Bea De Leon ang muling aasahan ng Creamline na target ang pang-siyam na korona.

“She just does her best to contribute, and she is also happy when she plays and she has that good vibes that we always need. She has the heart and that’s what we enjoy about her playing inside the court she never gives up,” ani Gumabao sa 23-anyos na si Staunton.

Itatapat ng Akari, ha­nap ang unang PVL title, sina Okaro, Ivy Lacsina, G­retchel Soltones, Kamille Cal, Michelle Cobb at Camille Victoria ng Akari.

Samantala, kagaya ng PLDT, hindi rin sasali ang Akari sa 2024 PVL Invitational Conference dahil sa injury ng ilan nilang players.

Maglalaro sa five-team tourney ang Cool Sma­shers, HD Spikers, Foxies pumalit sa High Speed Hitters, defending Japanese champion Kurashiki Ablaze at EST Cola ng Thailand.
