MANILA, Philippines — MediaQuest Holdings Inc. chairman Manny V. Pangilinan has had his eyes on the NCAA joining the family for long.

Wish granted.

“We’ve long been eyeing the NCAA to be added to our growing ledger of sports properties. Here in Cignal, we are sports and we welcome you to your new home,” said Pangilinan during yesterday’s memorandum of agreement signing with the grand old league at the PLDT RCB office in Makati.

MediaQuest Holdings Inc. president and CEO Ricky Vargas, for his part, said the NCAA will not be shown just on Cignal Play but all its affiliate platforms as well as on YouTube.

“We will cover it in all our platforms and one of the more important platforms we will be pushing NCAA will be YouTube, and we are also going to promote it in our Cignal Play,” said Vargas

“So welcome to RPTV and welcome to your new home OneSports, the biggest provider of sports in the Philippines,” he added.

Also present in the signing were MediaQuest chief financial officer and Cignal officer-in-charge Christopher Lizo and NCAA president Fr. Aloysius Ma. Maranan, OSB of Season 102 host San Beda.

The landmark partnership will usher in a new era of coverage for the country’s oldest collegiate league beginning with Season 102 this September.

“We are delighted to find the best home for the NCAA with Cignal and we’re overjoyed to begin a new chapter in the storied history of the league. We believe this collaboration will strengthen Philippine sports and we look forward to a fruitful and meaningful collaboration with Cignal,” said Maranan.
