Lascuña, Constantino hold ground at Caliraya

CAVINTI, Laguna , Philippines — Despite his putting woes and the sweltering heat, Tony Lascuña carded a four-under 68 to firm up his grip on the lead halfway through the ICTSI Caliraya Springs Championship yesterday.
The five-time Order of Merit champion, 55, who led by two after 18 holes with a solid 64, stayed at the top at 12-under 132 and 36 holes away from snapping a long title drought.
Defending champion Keanu Jahns grabbed solo second at 135 after a 68 while Angelo Que carded a 70 and dropped to joint third with Zanieboy Gialon and Guido van der Valk at 136 in the P2.5 million event.
In women’s play, Harmie Constantino stood tall against the elements for an even-par 72 and turned a shaky two-stroke cushion into a four-shot lead over Mafy Singson heading into the final 18 holes.
