MPBL's Migs Pascual shows signs of a take-charge guy

MANILA, Philippines — In his second season playing in the Maharlika Pilipinas Basketball League while seeing action for Sarangani, Migs Pascual had proven himself as a leader while performing his role as team captain.
But when push came to shove, the former Batang Gilas player proved he can also become a take-charge guy, a role which he essayed to perfection.
Pascual knocked in all of his 11 points in the third period as he willed his team back into the game after being down by as many as 25 points.
With Pascual presiding in offense, Sarangani put itself in a better position to fashion out a come-from-behind victory, but the team simply ran out of time and dropped a hard-fought 72-77 loss to Valenzuela.
Despite the loss, Pascual’s gallant effort didn’t go unnoticed.
Game panelists who covered the game saw glimpses of a future star who can take over when needed and Pascual, who hit three triples and a medium-range jumper all in one quarter, proved that he’s more than willing to do that job.
On top of his scoring output, Pascual also pulled down six rebounds. (Contributed story)
